Art conducts weekend book signings and signs a record 450 copies from 10 AM-5 PM at Brentano's Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax, Virginia on December 22nd.

A total of 259,038 copies of The Tiny Star were sold by Tommy Nelson. (That doesn’t make any sense to Art) Tommy Nelson does not return the rights to The Tiny Star to Art!

2010
Art meets with The Gilder Frontier and Out of Our Minds Studios who option for the rights to animate “Starlet, The Tiny Star.” They do not follow Art’s direction or script and make Starlet, a baby star with a baby voice. Art learns an important lesson and sets a goal to have Art’s never-before-seen characters developed so the same mistake is not made again.

After almost 10 years, on February 12th, 2016, Tommy Nelson finally returns the rights for “The Tiny Star” and “The Tiny Snowflake” to Art

2018
Art attends Book Expo in New York City, meets Jason Schneider with Skyhorse Publishing and signs a publishing Agreement for both books - Providence or Coincidence?

Art contacts Tommy Nelson to request the Master Plates / PDFs required for Skyhorse Publishing to print the book. Tommy Nelson confesses that they lost the plates and the PDFs needed to print more copies of The Tiny Star! Pat Schories illustrations were not outdated, and sales were not declining, the royalty statements illustrate that in black and white. The real reason Tommy Nelson could not print and sell more copies is they lost the Master Plates and the PDFs! This creates a major problem. Skyhorse must scan the book and The Tiny Star” is published.
